The Institute for Halakhic Conversion was founded in 2007 by Rabbi Zecharyah
Tzvi Goldman. Rabbi Goldman created the institute based on his experience working as a sponsoring rabbi with prospective converts from across the country. Rabbi Goldman
came to realize that many individuals who sincerely seek to become members
of the Jewish people often meet with a range of difficulties that are not
integral to a legitimate halakhic conversion. He also recognized
that there is often a lack of understanding among prospective converts regarding
choices and issues that are crucial to the conversion process.
